I skipped day 34 but I have a very good excuse.
We launched a new exhibition last evening so yesterday was crazy. Then we went out to party. The party finished at 4 am or something and I am sure I had one too many as I think I am still drunk as we speak. I can’t explain why things are revolving around me, otherwise.
So my morning today was challenging. It took me some time to figure out how to make coffee, I felt so lost in the kitchen as if I was in somebody else’s kitchen. Having a hangover feels like having half a brain.
Yesterday something really strange happened. I found a message on my fanpage from a pen pal I used to have about ten years ago in . We were writing real letters to each other, you know, with a pen, on a paper and then sent in an envelope. We never actually met but I still have his letters. It is surprising how he found me after all these years. I asked him how this happened but I am still waiting for his reply. What I am sure of, is that it was random, because we completely lost touch ten years ago.
As if it is not enough that the pope is on Twitter, Milan diocese creates exorcism hotline. Next step would probably be online exorcism, with the condition to register on the website. No account, no exorcism for you, you will need to fight your demons by yourself or see a shrink. There will be some basic services for free, but the whole package will be available for gold/platinum members that will pay a monthly fee. Milan diocese will probably need a paypal account for this one, but what a hell…
Church is all over the internet, anyway. Out of curiosity, I googled “online prayer request” and I found this. According to the website description, here you submit your prayers for others across the world to see and pray for and come and pray for others. Holly shit! Really?
Fortunately, internet has also websites like this one, a site for the millions of young people around the world who have embraced science, rejected superstition, and are dedicated to being Good Without A God. This evens out the situation a little bit.
I would like websites like this in Romania, where Orthodox religion is mandatory in schools, starting with grade 1. Yes, in Romania, aside from Math and Sciences and foreign languages homework, kids also have Religion homework. I took it too and I have no idea how come I didn’t fail that class. The teacher never detected my Atheism so he will probably be judged for that in front of god.
Tomorrow I will comment on my upstairs neighbor’s sex life. Since she screams that loud, I have very strong opinions on the matter and I will share them with you. Stay tuned! 🙂
