My Romanian Diary Day 166: My sister visited me and I am fucking busy (not really)

I had to take a break because my sister visited me. She was here for two weeks and afterwards I needed about two more weeks more to recover after her visit. She didn’t do much, in fact.

Basically, she slept and she ate Romanian food that, according to her, even if she makes it in London it doesn’t taste the same. I take a wild guess and put the blame on her for this, as the Romanian food I cook tastes the same, no matter the continent.

Also, she kept seeing one doctor after another, double checking the London doctors. Probably she is double checking the Romanian doctors in London as we speak. And so on. No matter how many doctors she sees, she is fine. Always. Or maybe that’s why.

Then she turned me in her personal slave. I had to make her coffee on daily basis. I made thirteen coffees in fourteen days, with my bare hands (I took my coffee filter at work because that is where I have my coffee). One morning, after taking her coffee to bed, as usual,  I went to work, minding my own business and after five-ten minutes she was desperately texting/whatsapping/skyping/facebooking/vibering me: “There is no sugar in my coffee!!!”

Other than that, she talked incessantly, I mean, even more than I do, which is quite an accomplishment, she kept losing the remote and this was happening only when the TV was on which caused my brains to fry due to despicable Romanian television and she bumped her forehead in a street sign which she did not see!!!

While recovering after her visit (which was quite pleasant, in case you didn’t figure this out from the description above), I started working on the second draft of my novel, because, apparently the New York Times Bestseller title doesn’t win itself. Neither does the Nobel prize, so I had to get to work.

Other than that, I was very, very but very very busy at work:

I work in a museum. B.O.R.I.N.G.!
And guess what is the most precious item in this museum? Hint: ME!
I look like my grandmother in this picture. The only difference is that I don't have three dead husbands.

Oh, and spring has come! Finally!

And my other grandma had 2 dead husbands. I truly hope it’s not my DNA. I don’t feel like paying for so many funerals. We need a pulitzer dealer, I think.

Hahaha, you truly have the funniest blog ever! I love how you see the humour in any situation and Romania offers so many opportunities for irony and satire. Sisters! You gotta love ’em, or kill them off somehow like husbands. Have a cheerier spring Lavinia! ♥

Yes, Romania never lets me down when it comes to satire. In fact, here, I have two options only: either to laugh or to cry. I chose laughing:))) Thanks for reading. Have a great spring yourself!:)

Another fortnight has passed without a new post. I think you’re trying to compel me to read the several hundred I’ve missed before. 😉 But now I know what time to stalk you online. The sun hasn’t risen here yet, but hey…

The past 2 weeks, I actually had to work at work!!! The whole 8 hours and more! This is unheard of at my work! This is my first day without things to do in 2 weeks. So I catch up with blogs. I always read and write blogs at work. :))) I have a one week off coming up so I will catch up with my writing.
