Hox in a box – live blogging

I checked in at The Hox. Not at 3 pm but at 5.30. Because I am slow. Adele showed me around and let me be.

I took a look around. This room is awesome!

So I put myself into bed, my favourite piece of furniture and I started reading, waiting for my guests. I left the doors open, just ‘coz it was fun to be on the pavement in Shoreditch.

What are you looking at, people? Just a girl in a box!

People came in and said hi. Some approached my bed, asking me what I was doing there. “Reading? Can’t you see? Duhhh”. I didn’t pictures of them. I didn’t want to be rude.

Then my friends came.

Hellooooo

Then pizza came.

Do you want a piece of my pizza? For real? Are you sure? really really sure?

We talked about men and exes. With two girls in the room, what can you expect?

We had pizza. New York Meat Lovers and Garbage Pie from Far Rockaway. Very yammy in our tummies. It went great with the Austrian revolutionary wine from Markus Altenburger.

Then we had cocktails upstairs. And we came back.

This looks really interesting and I’ve never heard of it before – I just googled it and found out it was a Hoxton Hotel pop-up. Out of curiosity how did you hear about it? Is there a website/twitter/mailing list for similar things like this? (I’m new to London and completely out of the loop when it comes to all of the cool pop-ups and other events – I’d really appreciate your help in finding things like this to do!)

It was a contest but I don’t really remember where I heard of it. It popped up in my Facebook news feed one day and I took my chance. I have liked thousands of pages on Facebook (magazines, newspapers, pubs, bars, galleries etc). I am quite new in London as well (1 year) so I don’t have an organized way to get my information. Social media helps me a lot. I could probably write on my blog about the interesting things I hear about. Would that be helpful for you? 🙂
