Life is a meanie sometimes.
Let me elaborate: National Cocktail Week (5-11 October), National Dessert Day (October 14), Chocolate Week (12-18 October). What all these beautiful celebrations have in common? SUGAR! And I am banned from sugar due to me being stupid enough to hire a personal trainer without checking the calendar of yummy celebrations before hand. Stupid! Stupid! Stupid!
As a result you can find me in the gym, having a main of sweat with a side of tears or outside the gym fooling my sweet tooth with almond butter and banana slices on rye bread.
More than often I dream of the best Tiramisu I have ever had outside Italy, at the Sea Containers at the Southbank. I will go back there soon, in like five lost kilos and a trace of abs on my tummy, but please, knock yourself out and go sooner, just don’t tell me about it because I will hate you forever. And save a little before, it’s not exactly cheap but it is worth every single penny, I promise!
As for the Chocolate Week, here is what I found out from their website.
“Chocolate Week, the nation’s favourite themed week, returns for a eleventh consecutive year, celebrating the world of fine chocolate from 12th to 18th October, 2015. The week culminates with The Chocolate Show London at Olympia National Hall from 16th to 18th October, bringing the best of the industry together all under one roof”.
I will skip it this year, because I can’t look at chocolate and not touch it (with my tongue, teeth and the inside of my stomach) so it’s better if I stay away and preferably do some cardio instead.
But if you are in London and you are a self proclaimed chocolate lover, maybe you don’t want to miss it. Just don’t come here and brag about it, or I will haunt your soul till the end of time. Have fun though! 🙂
